Why Setlo exists
An event is only booked when every supplier is booked. Today each deposit is paid separately.
The problem
A typical event needs four to eight suppliers. Each one asks for its own deposit, on its own timeline, over email or chat. A client can end up paying the venue before finding out the caterer is unavailable that day, and then has to argue to get that deposit back.
Agencies sit in the middle, chasing confirmations and fronting money, with no shared record of who agreed to what.
What Setlo changes
- One package, one funding step. The client sees every named supplier, payout account and amount, and approves that exact configuration.
- Conditional release. Deposits are held until the whole required set accepts. Partial bookings don't cost the client anything beyond the paid holds they agreed to.
- A shared record. Acceptances, changes, payments and refunds are onchain events everyone can check.
- No crypto setup for anyone. People sign in with an email code; Setlo creates their payout account and pays the network fees for clients and suppliers.
